A Perfect Saturday on Old 41, Start to Finish
Coffee, the riverwalk, live music, and a sunset within walking distance of home — our hour-by-hour guide to a downtown Bonita Springs Saturday.
By The Downtown Living Editors
One of the quiet luxuries of living downtown is that a genuinely great day doesn’t require getting in the car. Here is the Saturday we’d hand to anyone who just moved to the neighborhood.
Morning
- Start slow with coffee and a house biscuit on Old 41.
- Walk it off along the Imperial River and the downtown riverwalk.
- Duck into the shops — the independent boutiques here reward browsing.
Afternoon
Lunch on a patio, then point yourself toward the water. Barefoot Beach is a short drive and remains the locals’ favorite for a reason — quieter sand, calmer water, and a preserve at the end worth the walk.
Evening
Back downtown, Old 41 turns on its lights and the live music starts. Grab dinner, find a band, and time your last walk home for the sunset. It is the kind of evening that makes the rest of the country’s winters very hard to take seriously.
